Confirming Pregnancy

Positive pregnancy test?

Confirming your pregnancy is the next step in the decision making process. Even with a positive pregnancy test the most accurate way to confirm pregnancy is with an ultrasound. Shared Pregnancy provides FREE ultrasounds so that women can get essential information about a pregnancy.

According to the American College of  Obstetricians and Gynecologists, up to 1 in 5 women who know they are pregnant will miscarry (ACOG). You can still get a positive pregnancy test when you are miscarrying, so it is helpful to have an ultrasound to make sure. Getting all of the facts first will help you to make an informed decision.

Miscarriage Rate

  • Pregnancies ending in miscarriage
  • Viable Pregnancies

Limited, Non-Diagnostic Ultrasounds

An ultrasound can give you more detailed answers to some of your questions. The purpose of a limited, non-diagnostic ultrasound is to provide the following:

  • Confirm pregnancy
  • Detect fetal heartbeat (viability)
  • Determine fetal age
  • Estimate due date
